Abstract

This study examined various types of corporate governance model and next analyzed the development of corporate governance models using game theories. Furthermore, this study analyzed the dynamic game process, implemented a dynamic game model, and validated the Path Dependence Theory of corporate governance models. In the final chapter, this study presented recommendations relevant to the corporate governance models implemented by the developing nations. The developing nations implemented corporate governance models based on their unique cultural background and economic situations. The corporate governance models implemented by the developing nations are short of the features associated with the corporate governance models outlined in the conclusions.

Abstract

This study presents an image identification and measurement system for examining and testing the packaged semiconductor specifications. Semiconductor process requires measurement instruments and inspectors to verify if the finished products comply with specifications. Measurement instruments are costly; inspectors have to be trained and their performance requires a high level of skills, which means enormous costs, time, and efforts. Therefore, an automatic identification and measurement system will not only reduce the costs, but minimize the complexity of measurement, thereby upgrading the effectiveness of manpower and time.

A study on performing art instructions in Taoyuan City's junior high schools

Abstract

This study examined the performing art curriculum implemented by the junior high schools of Taoyuan City with emphasis on the composition of faculty, the status of teaching performing art, the status of learning performing art, and the dilemmas faced by the performing art teachers. This study surveys the performing art teachers employed by Taoyuan City’s junior high schools in 2010 using Questionnaire on Current Implementation of Junior High School Performing Arts Instruction in Taoyuan City. Secondly, this study analyzed the data related to performing art using statistical methods and interviews. Tangible recommendations are presented to the education authorities for their reference. Research results are summarized as follows:

Most performing art teachers are female with teaching experience less than 10 years. More than half of the 21 teachers interviewed by this study acted as either administrative staffs or tutors concurrently. 9 teachers majored in performing art, 8 majored in music, and 4 majored in visual art. Most teachers are capable of designing the curriculum of performing art production. Most teachers arranged theater show and film show, and then evaluated students’ performance based on the works completed by the students. Most schools lacked performing art classrooms. Therefore, teachers used computers and projection equipment instead. This study found that most teachers were eager to improve their performing art skills, especially the teachers responsible for teaching drama production. Shortages of teaching equipment and performing art faculty were the major problem faced by teachers. Teachers with different backgrounds had different teaching skills. The number of students decreased sharply because there are fewer children nowadays than before. As a result, schools were forced to downsize the faculty and teachers had more workload than before.

The research results and findings contained in this study are hereby presented to the national education authority, school authority, and teachers for their reference with respect to the performing art curriculum.
